Cadmon presents at Launch Festival alongside Sequoia Capital and Javelin Partners

Cadmon Advisory had the honour of presenting at Launch Festival at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Launch Festival is the world’s largest startup event with 12,000 startup founders from around the world attending as guests over 2 days.

Gernot Abl, Cadmon Advisory’s Corporate Director, spoke to a full house on the Scale Stage as one of the top 30 growth experts selected to educate on how to scale and exit start-ups. His topic – The benefits of exiting onto the Australian Stock Exchange. The presentation was very well received with many follow-up questions during discussion time.

The festival hosted a series of Startup Summits including Health & Biotech, Drones & Robotics, AI & Machine Learning, Smart Home, Food & Water, VR & AR, Cannabis, and Fintech. Each vertical saw 10 of the best start-ups pitch to category invited judges. Cadmon Advisory’s own Lifescience Analyst, Dr. Bow Tauro, was selected to judge the cannabis summit.

Another highlight was the Angel Summit presented by Javelin Venture Partners, Verizon Ventures, and Sequoia Capital who shared their best practices in their portfolios, investment strategies and what they’re looking for in 2017.

Cadmon Advisory also hosted a booth on the main Innovation Hanger floor – a bustling space of company displays and festival attendees – here we spoke to founders about their companies and the possibility of capital raising and listing on the ASX.
